My first hours in Paris…

Okay to hell this writing long blogs idea, here are my first impressions of Paris in bullet points:

-When Ryanair say they fly to Paris they really mean ‘somewhere up north of France’. Thought I’d never see the city. (bus was only an hour but I’m a moany git)

-McDonalds don’t do meal deals, they do double burger meals. What the hell? Yes you heard me, that’s TWO burgers, fries and drink. I thought the French were healthy. America eat you’re heart out!

-‘Carrefour’ is the ‘Tesco’ of France. And what a shop! 10 cans of coke for 3.70 euros, 6 bottles of water for 1.10euro etc etc. Their bread is fantastic too-great big crusty loaves freshly baked for 1.60euro. Bon appetite.

-Nerd tech wow factor: all the products in the Carrefour shop are digitally priced. How cool is that? Instead of paper labels underneath the shelves its all mini screens with the prices and barcodes. Well cool.

-Okay I’ve got myself a new phone with Orange. I only wanted the sim card but the mobile was 9 euro extra so I couldn’t say no. No idea what I’ve bought really, its all in French – what’s that about? :D

-Keyboards are weird here, I had to type in my details for my new phone in the shop, but the crazy Frenchies have gone and moved some of the letters around. I typed away madly then realised everything I’d filled out was wrong. I was not Brejdan Feemqy at all. The shop assistant watched me regress from French talker to English blabberer to computer illiterate fool in the space of 5 minutes. The shame!

-Last but not least, THE SUN IS SHINING!
